Lavender exposes the base; deeper purple carries more pigment
Lavender is translucent enough that leftover yellow, orange, or uneven lift can change the result. A clean pale lavender therefore asks more of the starting base and often more of the hair. Medium violet and deep plum contain greater pigment depth, so they can remain visible on darker bases and create a stronger frame around the face. Choose the depth first, then decide whether the purple should lean blue or red.
